At the entrance of Masjid Ali [a]

Masjid Ali [a]. Not to be confused with the smaller
Masjid Ali [a] at "Khamsa Masajid". This mosque is where
Imam Ali [a] led Salatul Jamaat after the Prophet's demise (when
he was denied his right to the khilafa). The mosque is behind Masjid
Nabawi, near Masjid Ghamama. |
House of the Prophet's [s] wife Ummul Mu'mineen
Mariya Qibtiya (the Coptic) who was also the mother of the Prophet's
son Ibrahim. The place is now a neglected cemetery. Sayyida Mariya
Qibtiya is buried here. It is believed that the 8th Imam's [a]
mother is also buried here.

Masjid Qiblatayn. On Mon. 15th Rajab 2 AH, while
the Holy Prophet [s] was praying Dhuhr (afternoon prayer) here,
he was directed by Jibrail to turn from Masjid al-Aqsa (Jerusalem)
to the Ka'aba (Makkah)
